Founded by Alison Tetrick, a cowgirl turned professional cyclist, Cheeseboard Snacking Bar is committed to investing in sustainable California agriculture and the next generation of leaders. Portions of the proceeds of each Cheeseboard Snacking Bar will fund environmental projects and educational scholarships to build a lasting and better future.

Professional cyclist and global ambassador. Experienced social media and communications manager, specializing in storytelling and advocacy with a demonstrated history of working in the biotechnology and endurance sports industry. Strong and strategic business development professional with a Master of Science.

Blaize Baehrens

10 years as an Engineering Consultant for Product design and development prior to moving into Retail management consulting for the last 10 years. Currently manages an online retail sales portfolio involving 3P fulfillment on Amazon, Walmart, and Target.com in excess of $25M annual net sales revenue. Extensive retail and distribution relationships from local Boutique to Global scale. Runs finances and operations for Saga Ventures, LLC.

Karen Smithson

With over 25 years of product development experience, Karen has worked with a range of clients from startups to global food manufacturers. She worked for Mattson as a Food Scientist for 24 year. Her project experience includes a range of nutritional beverages and snacks, frozen and food service meals, fresh and frozen pizza, salad kits, breakfast cereals, frozen whipped toppings, pickles, and many fresh and packaged bakery items.

Karen received a B.S. in Biochemistry from U.C Davis, a certificate in Pastry and Baking from the Cordon Rouge Culinary School, a diploma in Level 1 Chocolate from L’Ecole Lentre, Paris, and several course certificates from the American Institute of Baking. She was a contributor to the Open Hand Cookbook and Baker’s Dozen Cookbook

 

Abigail Selya

Abigail enjoys challenging food capabilities, systems and designs. She is passionate about the future of food and has worked at several startups in bio-tech including Finless Foods and Mattson. She supports the entire development process from strategy up, including ideation, formulation, co-packer search and commercialization. 

Abigail has worked with a broad range of large and small clients. She is in her fourth year serving as the elected Executive Secretary for the Northern California Food Technologist board. She was the Operations Manager for PepsiCo. She led a team of 40 frontline workers to distribute over $100 million of Frito Lay products annually throughout the Bay Area. While at Pepsi Co she was the sole manager for the mega-distribution center and oversaw Super Bowl 50.
